Jesus Christ: Lord of Mercy

Last week, we saw Jesus as the Lord of the Sabbath. Today, we see Him as the Lord of Mercy on the Sabbath Day. In other words, Matthew, our Gospel writer, proves Jesus’ claim from last week when he told the Pharisees — Matthew 12:6 — "I tell you that something greater than the temple is here." Matthew 12:8 — "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” How does Jesus prove that He is indeed Lord/Ruler/Master/Creator?
