Today, we start a new chapter in Matthew's Gospel—Chapter 18. Chapter 18 is like a church manual—It is a sermon from Jesus known as the “Community Discourse.” The discourse focuses on personal relationships in the church. These four themes are all values of the Kingdom of God, which guide the church in handling personal relationships.
Today, however, Jesus addresses a topic that the Disciples are infatuated with—status, power, and position. And in dealing with this topic, Jesus turns their world upside down. How so? And how does it impact you today? Let’s find out!
