Forgiven, But Unforgiving

Today, we are studying part two of this parable, “The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant.” Last week, we saw God’s divine compassion, grace, mercy, and forgiveness on display. Today, we see what happens when a child of God misuses His grace and takes God and His gifts for granted. The forgiveness process that the Lord Jesus provided works for God’s glory and our good. But what happens if we ignore Jesus’ command to go to the person and talk about the problem? And what happens when someone comes to us asking for forgiveness—and we refuse to forgive them? Today’s passage addresses both of those questions.
