The Question of Forgiveness

Today, we see the reaction to Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness from the Disciples. Peter has a great question about forgiveness. It is such a human question that the supernatural answer from Jesus’ lips seems impossible for anyone to comprehend. Yet, Jesus’ answer is another command. It’s a command that many of us don’t like and most of us ignore. We don’t want to ignore this command—the consequences of obedience lead to life, but disobedience leads to death.
