The Parable of the Bridesmaids

Today, Jesus tells the parable of ten bridesmaids waiting for the groom, five wise with extra oil and five foolish with none. When the delayed bridegroom finally arrives, only the prepared bridesmaids enter the wedding feast while the unprepared are shut out, illustrating the need for constant spiritual readiness because no one knows the timing of Christ’s return.
