Testing Jesus: Theology

Today, we study the third test by the religious leaders. Today’s test deals with theology and is one of the most familiar passages found in the Gospels. It’s about love—loving God and loving others. That’s easy to do! Everybody loves love! Countless songs have been sung about love. Whitney Houston, “I will always love you.”

Countless poems, plays, and novels have been written about love. Think Romeo and Juliet! Countless TV shows and movies are produced about love. Think Casablanca or The Notebook. Everybody loves love. But do we truly know what it means to love—from a Biblical framework Do we love as Jesus loves?
