Fearing the Right Thing

Learning God’s Word is new for all of us — no matter how long we’ve been Christians. This means it’s not only difficult for us to wrap our brains around what God is saying at times, but it can also be unnerving at best and terrifying at worst. Speaking about being terrified — Today’s lesson is about fear. In today’s passage, Jesus tells His disciples not to be afraid three times, vv 26, 28, and 31. Why should we not be afraid?
